Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and GoAI Solutions Inc. (“MapleMath,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your use of the MapleMath website and educational platform at maplemath.org (“Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Service Description

MapleMath provides an interactive online math learning platform aligned with the Ontario Mathematics Curriculum for Grades 1–9. The Service includes story-driven lessons, adaptive practice, skills checks, gamified progress tracking, and AI-powered tutoring. MapleMath is a supplementary learning tool and is not a substitute for classroom instruction, professional tutoring, or any mandated educational program.

2. Eligibility & Accounts

2.1 Age Requirement: Parent and teacher accounts must be created by individuals who are at least 18 years of age. Student accounts are created by or under the supervision of a parent, teacher, or guardian.

2.2 Account Types: MapleMath offers the following account types: Parent (manages child accounts and subscription), Teacher (manages student accounts for classroom use), and Student (learning account created by a parent or teacher).

2.3 Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at contact@goaisolutions.ca of any unauthorized access or use of your account.

2.4 Accurate Information: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and to update it as necessary.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

3.1 Free Trial: New accounts receive a 7-day free trial with full access to all features. No payment information is required for the trial. At the end of the trial, access to premium content is paused until a subscription is purchased.

3.2 Plans & Pricing: After the trial, continued access requires a paid subscription. Current plan details and pricing are available on our pricing page. All prices are in Canadian Dollars (CAD). Ontario HST (13%) is applied automatically at checkout.

3.3 Billing: Subscriptions are billed through Stripe. We accept major credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless cancelled.

3.4 Price Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Existing subscribers will receive at least 30 days’ written notice via email before any price increase takes effect. Price changes apply at the next renewal after the notice period.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

4.1 Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your parent dashboard or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain full access until then. No cancellation fees are charged.

4.2 Refund Policy:

  • 30-day money-back guarantee: If you are unsatisfied within the first 30 days of your initial paid subscription, you may request a full refund — no questions asked.
  • Annual plans: After the 30-day window, annual subscribers may receive a prorated refund for unused full months remaining on their subscription, at our discretion.
  • Monthly plans: No partial refunds are issued for unused portions of a monthly billing period.
  • How to request: Email contact@goaisolutions.ca with your account email and reason for the request.
  • Processing time: Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method.

4.3 Disputes: If you have a billing concern, please contact us at contact@goaisolutions.ca before filing a chargeback with your bank. We are committed to resolving all billing issues promptly and fairly.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Share your account credentials with others or allow unauthorized access to your account
  • Create multiple free trial accounts to circumvent payment requirements
  • Use the Service to distribute harmful, offensive, defamatory, or inappropriate content
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or interfere with the platform’s operation or infrastructure
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service or extract content
  • Impersonate another user or provide false information
  • Use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit MapleMath content without written permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on MapleMath — including but not limited to lessons, story narratives, characters (Mappy, Mika, Rex, Nova, and others), questions, illustrations, animations, audio, software code, and the MapleMath name and logo — is the intellectual property of GoAI Solutions Inc. and is protected by Canadian copyright law and international intellectual property treaties.

Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use MapleMath content for personal, non-commercial educational purposes only. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit any MapleMath content without our express written permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. While we strive to provide accurate, curriculum-aligned content, we do not guarantee that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • Content will be free from errors, omissions, or inaccuracies
  • Use of the Service will result in specific academic outcomes, grades, or test scores
  • The Service will meet all of your educational requirements

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, GOAI SOLUTIONS INC. AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GoAI Solutions Inc. from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

10. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in compliance with PIPEDA. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into and forms part of these Terms.

11. Termination

11.1 By You: You may delete your account at any time through your dashboard settings or by contacting us. Upon deletion, your right to use the Service ceases immediately and your data will be handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

11.2 By Us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if required by law. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination except where immediate action is necessary to protect the Service or other users.

11.3 Survival: Sections 6 (Intellectual Property), 7 (Disclaimer), 8 (Limitation of Liability), 9 (Indemnification), and 13 (Governing Law) survive termination of these Terms.

12. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, internet service disruptions, power outages, government actions, pandemics, or cyberattacks.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Ontario, Canada. Before initiating legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes in good faith through direct communication.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and GoAI Solutions Inc. regarding the use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements, communications, and understandings.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users via email at least 30 days before they take effect. The updated “Last Updated” date will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
